Phil T. is congratulated after scoring his game tying header.

The Chargers won a tight one against Cambridge to go undefeated for a second consecutive year in the Bishop McLaughlin Christmas Tournament. The team dominated from the get-go, but only managed a few dangerous chances. Just before half, Cambridge broke the tie as they took advantage of one of their few offensive attacks. The team was ready to rally as the second half started, but were stunned early when an opposing player broke free for a break away and a 2-0 lead. The team once again didn't hang their heads and capitalized on a big break minutes later. On a deflection back to the Cambridge goalie, Phil T. challenged the confused keeper who thought he couldn't play the ball with his hands. Phil won the ball and chipped the ball ever so softly over the goalie's outstretched hands to put the Chargers on the board. Minutes later, Rheese W. sent a corner kick back post to a lonely Phil T. who headed the ball into the net to tie the score at two a piece. Phil T. completed his hat trick and the comeback with ten minutes remaining after Brian W. sent him a perfect cross that he redirected into the goal for a 3-2 lead.

The team is now 5-2-1.
