Considering the Chargers outshot Admiral Farragut 25-7, tonight's 2-2 tie was far from satisfying. Shorecrest got on the board early when Alistair F. placed a freekick perfectly inside of the right post. The defense looked sluggish though for most of the first half as the team gave up two unanswered goals to trail at halftime.
The second half started and ended with the Chargers controlling the ball. Although the team dominated, Admiral Farragut's goalie thwarted dangerous chances over and over. Shorecrest finally capitalized after their keeper was sent off with a yellow for delaying the game. A goal was the result when Alistair's shot from near post deflected off of a defender to equalize the game at 2. The team continued to press, hitting the cross bar twice and post once. Failing to capitalize, however, on a couple of point-blank opportunities, the Chargers couldn't pull off the victory and now have a record of 2-2-1.
