Shorecrest @ Admiral Farragut - Win 4-0

The Chargers handled district opponent Admiral Farragut with ease in a 4-0 win. The outcome was never really in doubt once the team got settled as the Chargers controlled possession for most of the game. After a number of corner kicks, Matt R. eventually got position and outjumped the keeper to head in the first goal from Rheese W. A free kick outside if the box moments later resulted in Matt's second goal as he caught the AFA defense offgaurd with a quick restart on the direct kick. The shot was placed perfectly to the back post for a 2-0 lead. Rheese W. finished the scoring in the first half when he was taken down in the box on a breakaway. No red card was given, but he converted the penalty shot for a 3-0 score. In the second half, more of the same followed as the defense thwarted the attacks of AFA's quick and skilled forwards over and over. Offensively, Alex D. got on the board after Rheese W. dumped him a ball at the twelve. He calmly one-timed it into the top corner for the game's last goal. The team is still undefeated in the district and will battle St. Stephen's on Friday for district bragging rights.
